A Day Wrapped in Trapunto Romance

Spend a full day stitching a beautiful zipper purse using Trapunto quilting and In-the-Hoop (ITH) embroidery. With guidance and gentle pace, you’ll bring together soft fabrics, pretty thread, and a delicate raised design—finishing the day with a fully lined, padded purse that feels like a boutique piece.

Because it’s a full-day workshop, you’re welcome to bring your own lunch or order from Biga restaurant just around the corner.

What You’ll Make

You choose from four sizes – from a small coin-pouch to a modest purse that fits phone and cards. The design uses ITH (In the Hoop) construction so the zipper, quilting and lining are completed under the needle. The Trapunto adds a sculpted, luxurious texture, giving your bag an “heirloom” quality. Finished in soft, romantic tones, the purse makes an ideal Christmas gift, ready to hold lipstick, a gift card or a small treasure!

Who It’s For & What You Get

This workshop is ideal for anyone with an embroidery machine who’s ready to try beyond flat designs. You’ll learn step-by-step how to layer batting, stitch the zipper in-the-hoop, and finish with clean seams and full lining. You’ll go home with a finished purse and detailed notes so you can confidently stitch more at home — perfect for gifts, gifts for loved ones, or your own everyday use.
