Sew your dream pajamas: a 3-day workshop for cozy creativity
Join us for three full days of fun, fabric, and friendship as we guide you step-by-step through making your very own classic women’s pajamas! Whether you’re after long sleeves and pants for chilly winter nights, or short sleeves and breezy shorts for summer lounging, this pattern is beautifully versatile – and perfect for both beginners (who feel confident with a machine) and experienced sewists alike.
We’ll be working with lovely woven fabrics (no stretch needed), showing you how to create a comfy set that’s as stylish as it is practical. You’ll learn how to work with different finishes, match up neat seams, and sew a pajama set that truly fits you.
Each day runs from 9am to 3:30pm, giving you plenty of time to stitch, chat, and sip something warm while your project comes to life. Expect expert guidance, lots of laughter, and a relaxed, inspiring space where creativity thrives.
Come as you are for three days of sewing bliss, and leave with a handmade set of PJs and the skills to make many more!
Info Session
Booked participants will be required to attend an info session on Wednesday, 30 April at 10am in order to get ready for the course.
Hester will walk you through everything you need to know before the course begins: what fabric to buy, how to prepare and cut it, and exactly what to bring along for the course.
It’s the perfect chance to ask questions, get organised, and feel fully ready for your pajama-making adventure!

Lunch
We’ll take a dedicated lunch break and you’re welcome to bring your own lunch. Alternatively, we’ll share a menu from nearby restaurants to place an order 30 minutes before lunch.

What do I need to bring to the info session?
- 2.5m pattern tracing (If you don’t have, you are welcome to purchase in shop @ R18.60 per meter)
- Black ballpoint pen
- Notebook
You don’t need to bring fabric or your sewing machine as this is only an info session.

Where to Buy iItems
- All haberdashery and sewing items can be purchased at the latest a day before we start.
- Fabric can be purchased from Factory shop in Hermanus or Fabric Centre in Somerset-West.
Can I purchase a kit?
Unfortunately a kit is not available for this course.
