Crochet Meets Embroidery – And It Works Beautifully...
You know that moment when a new technique sparks something fresh – and suddenly your machine feels full of new potential? That’s what this workshop is all about.
In our Crochet Embroidered Handbag workshop, we’re combining the softness of crochet yarn with the precision of machine embroidery to create richly textured blocks—each one stitched on your embroidery machine using the freemotion couching technique.
In our first session, you’ll stitch two of these blocks with us to get the hang of it. Then you’ll complete the rest at home, in your own time. When we meet again for the second session, we’ll guide you through turning your finished blocks into a handbag that’s stylish, practical, and uniquely yours.
It’s creative. It’s clever. And it’s a great way to make something that stands out from the usual embroidery projects.

What do I need to bring to class?
REQUIRED
For First Session
- Your embroidery machine
- Your embroidery accessories
- At least one 10x10cm embroidery frame
- Pair of scissors
- Tweezer
- 75/11 Schmetz embroidery needles
- 4 different colours crochet cotton thread (2.5mm in thick) or wool
- Avelon Plus
- 4 matching Isacord embroidery thread
- Freemotion Couching Foot (#43 Bernina Machines) (For any other brand, order asap from us)
For Second Session
- Your sewing machine
- Your sewing accessories (more detail will be shared in the first session)
Where to Buy Items
- All haberdashery and sewing/embroidery items can be purchased at the latest a day before we start.
- Crochet thread/wool can be purchased from PNA at Whalecoast mall.
Can I purchase a kit?
Unfortunately a kit is not available for this course.
How do I book?
We’ve made booking your workshop seat easier than ever! You can now buy your ticket and pay immediately online via credit card, debit card, or EFT — quick, safe, and secure through iKhokha.
Here’s how it works, step by step:
Step 1: Choose Your Tickets
- Look for the section labelled “Tickets” (as shown in the first image).
- Click the plus (+) icon to select how many tickets you’d like to buy. Booking for a friend? Simply increase the number!
- Once you’ve selected the quantity, click the “Get Tickets” button.
Step 2: Enter Attendee Details
- You’ll be taken to the Tickets page.
- For each ticket, complete the attendee’s details.
- This allows you to book seats for yourself and any friends you’re bringing along.
Step 3: Checkout & Payment
- After entering attendee details, click “Checkout Now.”
- You’ll be prompted to enter the payee’s information (the person making payment).
- The final step will direct you to the secure iKhokha payment page, where you can pay online using your preferred method.
That’s it! You’ll receive an email with your ticket shortly after.
