Your Mechanical BERNINA Still Has Secrets...

You love your BERNINA. It has served you faithfully for years – perhaps decades. It may even have a story behind it. A gift. A first big purchase. Something passed down from someone special.

That said, we hear this in our shop all the time when owners bring their BERNINA mechanical machines in for a service:

“I really only use it for the occasional mending.”

or

“The machine came with so many different feet, but I’m not sure what they all do. I usually just use the straight stitch foot.”

Do you own any one of the following BERNINA ELECTRIC-MECHANICAL machines below? Then this workshop is specially designed for you!

Many BERNINA owners only use a fraction of what their machines can actually do.

The straight stitch foot stays on.
The other feet sit quietly in the accessory box.
And somewhere along the line we simply stopped wondering what they were for.

The BERNINA Mechanical Revival is designed to change that.

What You’ll Discover

During this VERY special gathering, we’ll reveal the hidden capabilities of your older BERNINA mechanical machine – things you may have never been shown when you first bought it, or have forgotten!

You’ll discover:

  • What those mysterious feet in your accessory box are actually designed to do
  • How the correct foot can instantly improve your sewing results
  • Clever techniques your machine was engineered to perform all along

Many of these feet were created to solve very specific sewing challenges. Once you see them in action, something remarkable happens!

What Others Say...

Sometimes the most helpful tip comes from one of the class mates!

Knowledge about the many capabilities and settings in the machine is extremely useful and is not the kind of thing one would discover by yourself.

I loved relearning some of the features of my machine as well as interacting with the fellow attendees!

Beatrix

Heerlik! Elke dame is persoonlik gehelp om die prosedure reg te kry. Was so lekker geen "gestres". Ander dames vra vrae en dan leer jy sommer nog iets. Sal dit sterk aanbeveel.

Marinda

Fantastic experience with like-minded people! Gave me so much more confidence as well as knowing that I have already learned so much about my machine!

Irene

Nice relaxing morning with personal attention to detail on your machine and the opportunity to practice and ask questions if needed.

FAQ

If you own a BERNINA electric-mechanical machine and don’t see your model listed above, you’re still very welcome to join. Simply mention the model you have in the RSVP form when you book.

A hand-operated mechanical machine is worked completely by hand, an electric-mechanical machine uses electricity to sew but you still turn knobs to choose stitches, and an electronic machine lets you select stitches and settings using buttons or a screen.

  • Hand-operated mechanical machine: It has no power cord or motor and is operated with a hand wheel or crank.
  • Electric-mechanical machine: It plugs into the wall and uses a foot pedal, and stitches are selected with physical knobs or dials.
  • Electronic machine: It also uses electricity and a foot pedal, but stitches are chosen using buttons or a digital screen instead of large manual dials.

This workshop covers the BERNINA electric-mechanical machine models.

  • Your BERNINA sewing machine
  • Your sewing kit
  • All your machine accessories

We know that older mechanical machines can be quite heavy to carry. The good news is that you don’t have to struggle with it. We’ll have a trolley ready, and our team will gladly help you take it out of your car, bring it into the shop, and carry it back for you afterwards.

We’ll supply test fabric. Occasionally, supporting documentation may also be provided.

If the workshop happens to be fully booked, don’t worry. We’ll open a waiting list where you can leave your details. You’re also welcome to WhatsApp us and we’ll gladly add your name.

As soon as we have three or more people interested, we’ll happily arrange a second workshop and let everyone know. 😊

We have four of these sessions per year. Please visit our month calendar to see when is the next one.
